Have statues and/or pictures of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary in your home, and even make them available to others. Fast and abstain from meat on Fridays in honor of Christ's passion and fast and/or abstain on Saturdays in honor of Mary's sorrows. Extend the fast before receiving the Holy Eucharist beyond the minimum requirement. Greet other Knights and Dames with a spiritual greeting, such as "Ave Maria" and/or "Praised be Jesus Christ!" Response: "And his Most Holy Mother Mary!" Undertake other forms of prayer, penance (under a spiritual director's guidance), spiritual reading, and apostolic activity. Purity ("Castitas"): In our contemporary sex-saturated, pornographic society in which impurity reigns, Knights and Dames of the Holy Rosary seek to reflect and promote the virtues of chastity and modesty: Observe the virtue of chastity according to your state in life: if unmarried, total abstinence from all deliberate sexual pleasure, whether alone or with another person; if married, fidelity to your lawful spouse, no artificial birth-control, every conjugal act open to God's gift of life; "Many marriages are not of God and do not please Our Lord." (Our Lady of Fatima) No pornography: zero tolerance! Speak out against this great evil which enslaves so many souls and leads them to damnation.Dress, speak, and behave modestly, remembering that the virtue of modesty is the guardian of chastity. Publicly defend the virtues of chastity, purity, and modesty when it is appropriate.Take seriously and share with others Our Lady of Fatima's words: "More souls go to Hell because of sins of the flesh than for any other reason." "Certain fashions will be introduced that will offend Our Lord very much." "Woe to women lacking in modesty." (See important notes 1 and 2 at bottom of Fatima/Rosary page) Share with others Our Lady of Fatima's words and Catholic teaching regarding purity and modesty. Read and share with others the booklet "Pure Love" by Jason Evert (see "Chastity" link under "Categories"). Keep good custody of your eyes and your imagination against all occasions of sexual sin. Act of Contrition: O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve with the help of Thy grace to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin. Amen. "O Lord, make me a saint. Keep my heart always pure, for you alone."
